:: TEACHER GIFTS ::

Cohen's last day of preschool is May 20th. That is only three more days to figure out how we're going to spend our summer vacation. But first things first...teacher gifts. Give me your opinion on this topic. Are they necessary? I don't remember giving my teacher anything at the end of the year. I mean, my presence was a gift within itself. :-) I don't know what to do. I made them market bags for Christmas. What have you done for your children's teachers? Maybe some of my jam stash?

I have been using up my candle stash. Do you want me to send you some?

Of course you don't need to, but it's a nice gesture. I was a teacher for five years and it's a really underappreciated line of work. Those bags you gave for Christmas are super-cute! I bet they loved them. I would say it's more the thought that counts. I bet they'd love jam and a card from Cohen.

Having been a preschool teacher (who never recieved a gift for the end of the year) I'd say that you don't need to unless you really want to.

I am having a similar hard time with this, but I always give something, but it is just small. Last year I had the girls help me make cute tags with their pictures on them and a just attatched it to some bath and body works soap - but I think the jam in a cute "package" would be perfect!

I don't think you HAVE to by any means but I did last year and I am going to this year too. I think I might just give them (he has three) some kind of a plant or little flower or something that they can replant outside. I am still thinking though......

I made little loaves of banana bread and Seth dictated a thank you card to me and signed his name. he loved giving them something and I think they appreciated it.

But, they also know you just had a baby, so I am sure they aren't expecting anything :)

I think you could get something for the teacher. I guess if you thought she did a good job. But nothing too big. Before we left I got Corbin's teacher a potted flower. I think something that Cohen can pick out is best. So Cohen learns how it feels went he gives. What are you going to do with out preschool? Aren't you so glad that you signed up for that preschool. It is over 250.00 a month here for just three days a week. Say hi to Cohen from Corbin.

Crapper. I forgot about end of school gifts. Good thing I read your blog before Friday. Thanks for unintentional reminder. Loves, Linds
